ArabTeX
installation module for BaKoMa TeX 7
This module includes LaTeX 2e macro packages for typesetting Arabic scripts:
- ArabTeX 3.11 (22-Aug-2003).
- Arabi package 1.0 (24-Feb-2006).
This module installs the package under BaKoMa TeX
7.65
and later.
To install the package just open the ARABTEX.BKZ unit.
Font Comments
This pack includes fonts:
- xnsh14 and xnsh14bf - they are in PostScript Type 1 font format.
We recommend to use these fonts for regular typesetting.
- nash14 and nash14bf - they are in PostScript Type 3 (scalable - no bitmaps) font format.
They are not so efficient for regular typesetting as Type 1 fonts.
However, they are good enought for eventual use.
They may be used with color background, for example for slides.
- Arabi package includes 30 Arabic and 14 Farsi GNU fonts.
These fonts may be appeared corrupt on display, because of incorrect FontBBox.
BaKoMa TeX 7.65 avoids this problem by automatical fixing FontBBox.
- Arabi package provides way to typeset by windows fonts TimesNew, Arial, CourierNew.
BaKoMa TeX 7.65 is recomended to have always correct RTL direction in preview.
